DoDAF-2 | Global Architecture & Information Network Initiative | www.GAINInitiative.net

I have become more aware of the DoDAF-2 "Data Model 2" (DM2), which is semantic model integrating all 52 DoDAF architecture viewpoints.  This is really good work and looks like it may provide a solid foundation for an architecture ontology.

Here is just one link to some information about this: http://www.ndia.org/DoDEntArchitecture/Documents/DoDAF%20Metamodel%20Walkthru%202009-06-01r2.pdf

I am very excited to see this kind of integrated semantic model coming out of DoD!

A lot of effort has gone into

A lot of effort has gone into the creation of these templates. I was looking at the number of flow charts you have on this and I am amazed at how much is done to get a procedure that we take for granted, workable. I think I will leave these lofty matters to people who are proficient in them, because I really don’t have the aptitude for it and it makes me feel foolish when I can’t make out head or tail. But I could definitely understand the passion with which the file has been created and executed.VM Ware
